According to the data released by the Chongqing Railway Logistics Center of the Chengdu Bureau of the State Railway, in the first quarter of 2026, the railway-sea combined transport trains on the new land-sea channel in western Chongqing sent a total of more than 400 trains, loading nearly 17000 cars, and the traffic volume increased by more than 30% year-on-year, realizing the double growth of the number of trains and the loading volume. This growth is due to Chongqing's active construction of a modern collection and distribution logistics system facing the southeast, northwest and coordinating iron, public, water and air in recent years, and promoting the deep integration of multimodal transport.
