Brazil’s National Supply Company (CONAB) released its weekly crop progress report on Monday, stating that the country’s 2025/26 soybean harvest stood at 99.7% complete as of May 29. The figure marks an improvement from the prior week’s 99.0%, a slight drop from the 99.8% recorded in the same period a year earlier, and sits above the five-year average of 98.8%.

On May 14, CONAB projected Brazil’s 2025/26 soybean output would hit a record high of 180.1296 million metric tons, an upward revision of 978,000 tons from its previous monthly estimate and a year-on-year increase of 5.0%.
The planted soybean area was revised up to 48.716 million hectares from the earlier monthly forecast of 48.473 million hectares, rising by 2.9% year on year. The national average yield is estimated at 3,698 kilograms per hectare, compared with the prior forecast of 3,696 kilograms per hectare, representing a 2.1% annual gain.
