In June 2021, China's titanium sponge production reached 12,331 tons, a year-on-year increase of 55.60%. However, due to power restrictions in Yunnan, overall production saw a slight decrease. The top production areas include Liaoning, Sichuan, and Xinjiang. While military demand remains strong, civilian demand is weaker, leading to rising raw material prices and pressures on production costs.

According to Tuoduo statistics, in June 2021, China's titanium sponge production 12,331 tons, an increase of 55.60% year-on-year, a decrease of 1.11% YoY. January-June 2021 titanium sponge production totaled 72,387 tons, an increase of 40.90% YoY, compared to January-June 2020 production growth of about 21,012 tons.

June Yunnan area power restrictions, production was significantly affected. Liaoning and Gansu new and old capacity release, enterprise production increased, the overall titanium sponge in June decreased.

The top three domestic production areas of titanium sponge Liaoning, Sichuan, Xinjiang, accounting for 33%, 19%, 16% of total domestic production, respectively.

Titanium sponge military market demand is strong, the market supply is tight, the civilian market demand is relatively weak. Raw material prices continue to rise, including magnesium ingot prices nearly three months cumulative price increase of about 4,000 yuan / ton, titanium tetrachloride prices nearly three months cumulative price increase of about 400-600 yuan / ton, titanium sponge prices continue to hover at a low level. Enterprise cost pressure, prices then collectively upward 2000 yuan / ton, the market price of new orders gradually upward, the overall stable operation of the market.
