The global polyvinyl chloride (PVC) capacity is projected to grow from 60.27mtpa in 2021 to 69.73mtpa by 2026, an increase of 16%. A report by GlobalData highlights that around 39 new plants are planned, mainly in Asia and North America. China alone has six projects with a total capacity of 3.25mtpa. Major investments are anticipated, including $1bn in China and $0.35bn in North America.
