Analysis on Resin Import and Export Data of Feburary 2023

According to customs data, the final import volume of natural rubber in China (including technical classifications, latex, smoked sheets, primary shapes, mixed rubber, and composite rubber) in February 2023 was 563,100 tons, a decrease of 1.42% compared with the previous month and an increase of 32.58% compared with the same period last year. The accumulated import volume from January to February was 1.1343 million tons, a cumulative year-on-year increase of 13.57%. In February, the main natural rubber producing areas in Southeast Asia were in a period of reduced production due to deciduous period.

Technical Classifications Natural Rubber

The final import volume of technical classifications natural rubber in February 2023 is 143,300 tons, which is a month-on-month increase of 24.66% and a year-on-year increase of 52.17% compared with last year.

From January to February 2023,China's accumulated import volume was 258,200 tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.78% compared with last year.  

Among them, the main import source countries are Thailand, Côte d'Ivoire, Indonesia and Malaysia, accounting for 37.26%, 21.95%, 16.53% and 15.81% of the total import volume in February respectively, in which Thailand ranked first.

Natural Latex

The final import volume of the natural latex (40011000) in February 2023 is 47,400 tons, which is a month-on-month increase of 72.17% and a year-on-year increase of 79.20% compared with last year.

From January to February 2023,China's accumulated import volume was 75,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.27% compared with last year.  

Among them, the main import source countries are Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia, accounting for 73.03%, 25.81% and 0.72% of the total import volume in February respectively, in which Thailand ranked first.  

Natural Latex Smoked Sheet

The final import volume of the natural latex smoked sheet (40012100) in February 2023 is 17,100 tons, which is a month-on-month increase of 16.71% and a year-on-year decrease of 8.76% compared with last year.

From January to February 2023,China's accumulated import volume was 31,800 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 31.16% compared with last year.

Among them, the main import source countries are Thailand, Myanmar and Vietnam, accounting for 73.03%, 25.81% and 0.72% of the total import volume in February respectively.

The Mixture of Natural Rubber and Synthetic Rubber

The final import volume of the mixture of natural rubber and synthetic rubber (40028000) in February 2023 is 355,300 tons, which is a month-on-month decrease of 6.59% and a year-on-year increase of 35.69% compared with last year.

From January to February 2023,China's accumulated import volume was 735,600 tons, a year-on-year increase of 27.84% compared with last year.

Among them, the main import source countries are Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Myanmar, accounting for 50.46%, 32.90%, 11.12% and 2.57% of the total import volume in February respectively, in which Thailand ranked first as well.
