Analysis on China Titanium Dioxide Production Data of February 2023
According to the statistics data from LYDD, the production of titanium dioxide in China was 314,100 tons in February 2023, a month-on-month increase of 6.73% and a year-on-year decrease of 6.03%. During January-February 2023, the accumulated production of titanium dioxide was 608,400 tons, a decrease of 9.26% year-on-year.

As enterprises resume normal production after maintenance, production in some regions has increased, while some individual enterprises have reduced production due to equipment maintenance. The overall production increased in February.

The top three regions in terms of production in February were Sichuan, Shandong, and Henan, accounting for 20%, 18%, and 17% of the total production respectively.

The production of chloride process titanium dioxide in February was 47,200 tons, and the production capacity of Yunnan enterprises remained stable, with production roughly flat compared to the previous month. The cumulative production of chloride process titanium dioxide from January to February 2023 was 94,700 tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.86%.

In February, titanium dioxide prices continued to rise, with many enterprises having more orders in hand, most of which will be completed by April. In March, enterprises began to execute new orders at new prices, and production has been maintained normally, with a small increase in production expected.
