In June 2022, China's sponge titanium production reached 13,790 tons, marking an 11.83% increase year-on-year. Although there was a 10.32% decrease compared to May, the total production from January to June was 68,969 tons, down 4.72%. Key production areas included Liaoning, Xinjiang, and Henan. Despite weak domestic demand, international demand remains robust, leading to stable prices.

According to the statistics data from LYDD, the production of sponge titanium in China in June 2022 is 13,790 tons, a year-on-year increase of 11.83%,and a decrease of 10.32% compare with last May. The accumulated production of sponge titanium from January to June 2022 is 68,969 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 4.72%, with a production decrease of about 3,418 tons.

With the release of sponge titanium production capacity and the easing on raw material prices, the production of sponge titanium continued to increase in June. Enterprise capacity was steadily released, among them, the production in Liaoning Province increased significantly, and it is expected that sponge titanium production will continue to increase in July.

In June 2022, the top three production areas of sponge titanium in China were Liaoning Province, Xinjiang Province, and Henan Province, accounting for 29%, 16%, and 11% of the total domestic production, respectively.

The price of sponge titanium remained stable in June. Currently, downstream demand in the domestic market is slightly weak, but international market demand remains strong. Many enterprises have signed long-term orders, and overall market demand remains strong. Manufacturer inventory is still not high, and enterprise capacity is actively being released, but titanium raw material prices remain at a high level. The sponge titanium market price will also continue to stabilize in July.
