Jialing River Sichuan Section Electronic Navigation Chart Officially Launched
On March 11, the reporter learned from Sichuan Port and Shipping Development Group Co., Ltd. that the electronic navigation chart system for the Sichuan section of the Jialing River has successfully gone online on the "One Map" platform of the Yangtze River water system electronic navigation chart ("Yangtze e+"). This marks the official integration of the Sichuan section of the Jialing River into the unified planning information system of the Ministry of Transport.
Under the overall guidance of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Transportation, Sichuan Port and Shipping Development Group Co., Ltd. strictly aligned with project requirements to optimize the implementation plan, comprehensively compressing the cycle of each stage. By strengthening communication and coordination, deploying additional professional forces, and supplementing measurement equipment, they overcame difficulties such as flight restrictions on some land measurements. Over four months, they completed the field measurement of 534 kilometers from the Guangyuan Railway Bridge on the Jialing River to the Huangmaotuo at the Sichuan-Chongqing border, the creation of the electronic navigation chart, and the data release on "Yangtze e+". This electronic navigation chart strictly follows the "Technical Specifications for Inland Electronic Navigation Charts," standardizing and digitizing the information of various channel elements to form a regional thematic electronic map.
The launch of the electronic navigation chart system for the Sichuan section of the Jialing River promotes the interaction between the main and tributary streams of the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers, building a development model for data, information, and service sharing between the main and tributary streams. Currently, users can browse the electronic navigation chart through the "Yangtze e+" Android application and WeChat mini-program, using place names, bridges, docks, waterways, etc., for query searches. This will provide more precise, efficient, and safe navigation services for ship navigation, strongly supporting the high-quality development of shipping in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River.
