Carbon black output: In March 2024, China's carbon black output was 475,000 tons, an increase of 3.17% year-on-year and a decrease of 5% month-on-month; and the cumulative output of carbon black from January to March 2024 was 1.4653 million tons, an increase of 16.46% over the same period last year, and the output increased by about 207,100 tons.
Carbon black operating rate: The operating rate of the carbon black market in March was 65.17%, a decrease of 5.03% from February. This month, the price of raw material high-temperature coal tar was high. To alleviate cost pressure, some carbon black enterprises reduce production, dragging the operating rate of carbon black enterprises to decline narrowly.
