2021 titanium ore import volume country comparison
According to data from LYDD:China imported about 226,800 tons of titanium ore in May 2021, a decrease of 38% from the previous month, a decrease of 96% from Kenya and 80% from Mozambique. Foreign mines depletion, titanium raw materials continue to be tight, as well as shipping and other reasons, the total amount of imports ring than in April, a significant reduction.
From January to May 2021, China imported about 1.6210 million tons of titanium ore, up 21% from last year. Among the countries with large increases are South Africa, Brazil, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and other countries.
From January to May 2021, China's total imports of titanium ore accounted for the top three countries are Mozambique, Vietnam and Norway, accounting for 34%, 15% and 9% of the total respectively.
